Anybody know if a metal detector goes off with a digi cam? |
im headin to a concert and it says no flash photography..how ever i always see people in there with them...security wands u with a metal detector before u go in...if i hide it would the detector go off?.. the first time i took a camera to a concert; it wasn;t allowed in and they took it.. the second time i only took the camera in my hand nothing else. and i was able to pass thru.. so it depends on the staff.also. cause sometimes they dont want the flash and if your camera can take photos with out flash a positive for digital cameras you are home free.. but sometimes concert staff dont want cameras at alll in that case .... just leave it in the car or house!!!! It depends upon how they have their detectors setup, sensitivity wise. If you can demonstrate that your camera is set with the flash turned off, you may be successful. Otherwise, are you willing to have your camera confiscated? That is the risk. Editorial, sports and glamour photographer If the band says they want no flash photography then why are you deliberately trying to sneak in a camera? Do you hate the band? Do you want to spite them and curse their stupid concert and lousy music by doing what they have asked people to not do? Are you going to push your way to the front of the stage and make flash pictures as painfully into the eyes of the band as possible while screaming "I bought a ticket just so I could show how much I disrespect you and all the other people here!" Maybe you should re-think about going to this concert. Or leave your camera at home and support the band by not doing what they have asked fans to not do. Don't sneak the camera in. Just bring it in honestly. If it says no flash photography, you're allowed to take pictures, just not with a flash. I'd recommend buying a camera with good low light performance, such as the Fujifilm Finepix F30. It goes up to ISO 3200. http://www.fujifilmusa.com/jsp/fuji/epar... |
