The cheapest place to buy photography equipment? |
Daughter just finished a HND in photography, looking for a really good flash for her nikon digi, good quality neg scanner also a light meter and a Crumpler bag for her laptop B and H photo on the internet Try Ebay Frys or Circut City Cheapest place I found was car boot sales, though I wouldn't hope to find any decent digital camera equipment or laptop bags there. I got a Western light meter for 拢5, a full working Vivitar SLR kit with 70-200 zoom for 拢7, light box for 拢4, the list goes on! Of course it's pot luck what you find, but still cheaper than eBay and less risk too since you get to inspect the goods first hand. If it's a graduation present then I would definitely suggest buying the digital stuff new from a reputable company, perhaps the other stuff could wait :-) Good quality neg scanners are probably going to cost a lot, you may be better off getting a decent HP / Epson scanner which has a negative scanning capability/adaptor (it's usually in the lid). I would definatly go on Ebay because it's the cheapest online market place! www.ebay.co.uk www.thesingleton.co.uk I'd give mifsuds a call, they're a well known secondhand and new dealer http://www.mifsuds.co.uk/ they have decent secondhand gear for sale, very helpful and fast, and although I'd also recommend ebay, you can check out mifsuds too! bought stuff from mifsuds beforehand, happy customer! |
