What are the best digital cameras to buy. Jessops told me cannon are the best?

I previously have bought fuji but would like anyones opions

I believe that there's not really any better or worse option here, I have a couple of cannon cameras a couple of fuji cameras and several olympus and never had a complaint about any of them.

The technologies in digital cameras are just like computers now, you buy one and it's almost immediatly redundant, so I don't really think it matters what you buy, you're going to want a new one is six months anyway.

Remember Jessops may have told you they think Cannon are best becasue they have a better mark up on the models they have in stock. After all they're more interested in getting your money out your wallet than anything else.

Canon are very good because they make thier own very high quality optics, which is what you need for a good camera whether digital or conventional. I have a Canon Ixus and it is great.

i have a canon. poweshot A620. it's a very good camera. I'm more than happy with it.
i know a lot of photographers who use only use canon equipment. Friends and professional. Fuji are good too.

i found this site useful when i was buying a digital camera.

just buy a kodak or a samsung their pro series are the best they got an awesome glass lens a scneider kreshuesuf lens. cannons arent really all that good they use cheaper plastic glass and internal parts

Cannon is pretty good, it's not the best, but it's sturdy and isn't super pricey for beginners. I'd ask a professional photographer if i were you.

Definately go for a Canon rather than a Fuji - I had a Canon A75 which took everything but finally died after much abuse on a night out and had drinks spilled on it! I then bought a Fuji from Jessops - BAD IDEA! It broke and they were absolutely useless and refused to give me a refund (although it was broken and not my fault). I have now got a Canon A540 and its brilliant, the best make by far. Dont get it from Jessops though!

All camera's are electronics goods and all companies try to make the best.So don't get confused in buying camera's of specific companies.
It depends on your requirements.If you are buying it only for your Holiday than it should be light & compac.
First decide your types of purpose and then search for camaras with minimum price and maximum quality u deserv.

If Sony is a 10, Canon would be around 8 or 9. Kodak is a 5 or lower. Fuji maybe 6. For starters Sony cybershot or Canon powershot.
