How many pictures can you get on a 512MB XD Memory Card? |
How many pictures can you get on a 512MB XD Memory Card when useing a 8MP Fuji Film digital camera? At 8 megapixels in jpeg format, you are looking at about 250-300. If you shoot in RAW format, it would be more like 40-50. Tiff format would be somewhere in between. Most likely your default setting is jpeg, so probably in the 250-300 range. Your camera should tell you how many pictures you have left when you turn it on. That is the best way to estimate. That depends on the actual photo resolution, file size, etc. There is no set answer. I would say you could get a couple hundred or so if you're using the standard settings. It depends on the file sizes you are shooting and whether they are compressed or not . Visit www.bhphoto.com and see if they stock the camera. Click on the camera and check on the specifications. that should show you how many images could be none or could be 10 or 20...all depends how big of a resolution your picture is. if you have a low resolution picture you can store more if you have a high resolution picture you can't store any...it like asking how many animal you can fit inside a car? you can put hundreds of mice but you won't be able to put any elephant in a passenger car. |
