It used to work fine before but now nothing, the computer does not seem recognise my camera anymore. I need to upload my xmas photos. Help!!!! what shall I do I work for a camera repair shop and when we see cameras that have this type of problem, it's usually the USB port on the camera OR it could be the USB cable. If it was working fine and now doesn't seem to work, chances are it will need a new cable or main board in the camera(where the USB port is located)
Now, if your camera is still under warranty, you may be able to get it repaired under the terms. I can't guarantee that it will be, since some shops as well as Fuji might say you "forced" the cable inside and caused the port to become damaged. I would recommend sending it in to Fuji directly if it is under warranty.
They do not charge for checking it out or sending it back if you do get an estimate for the repair. Most shops charge for inspection.
If it isn't covered by the warranty, another way to go would be to purchase a card reader that will bypass your camera ports and cable and plug directly into your computer. You will be able to put the card directly into the reader and download from there. Depending on where you shop, they are pretty cheap and can be found at most any electronics store that sells camera accessories. I hope this helps you out! |
