I'm looking to upgrade my digital camera and need advice.? |
I mostly take pics of family and friends for scrapbooking. I currently have a fuji finepix A340 4.0 mega pixels with 3x optical zoom. I'm not a camera expert by any means and I'm looking for advice about what's good and why it's good. Thanks! For what your doing it sounds like what you have should be just fine unless its giving you problems or you plan on seriously enlarging or cropping images. I just bought a Canon A630 (8 Mega pixels w/4x optical zoom) for 249.00 I would say it really depends on how much you want to spend. I personally like SLR cameras because they are way better for pictures with moving subjects. However, SLR cameras cost much more than the camera you have now and they might be a little bit over the top for scrap-booking. You could do something like the Fuji FinePix S5200, its not a SLR, but a step up from what you already have. If you want to try a SLR I would recommend the Canon Rebel, and find a versatile lens, like a 28-135 mm lens. depending on what you want to spend. I tried not to ever sell a fuji. all my cameras are canon they are awesome if you want a good zoom try the canon s2is or s3is or if you want compact try the sd550. hope that helps a little |
