Which camera company from these two is supposed to be more better...fuji film or olympus?

i want to purchase a digital camera...and i found a camera having same features but fujifilm is less expensive than that in olympus. which one i buy olympus or fujifilm?

Well I have an Olympus Stylus 500. I love it. It is great with very high quality pictures. the only thing I hate about it is that sometimes it takes awhile to reset to take another picture. Other than that I have no complaints with it. The battery life is excellent and it is built to handle bumbs and stuff. I have had it about 2 years now and I have to say if I ever need a new one I will go with an Olympus again. Very pleased with the quality of the product.

Basically they are the same quality companies. Both produce good quality cameras. You need to ask yourself questions like:
-What is my purpose for the camera? Portraits, sceneries, indoor, outdoor?
Does the camera has the features that I want? If I take a lot of indoor pictures, I need a powerful flashlight and a good "throw" range. If I take group photos often, I need feature like panaromic.
-What is my budget?
-What resolution (pixels) do I need?
Now-a-day, they have as high resolution as 8 or 10 mpixels for a small camera. If you only print (assuming you print photos at home) a half-letter size photo, a 5 mpixel camera is more than enough.
-Accesories price
Battery is an important item to consider. Extra battery is always handy for travelling. Check out the cost of battery. Extra memory cards are also helpful. Remeber that Fuji and Olympus use different types of cards -- Fuji uses SD (cheaper), Olympus uses XD (more expensive and less common).
-Build - size, appearance..

Fuji is the best of the 2 of them! Fuji has an excellent lens! Olympus lens is at best is OK!

I find the Olyumpus is a better company. The image quality is more crisp in the olyumpus.
