Fuji 3800 digital camera?

The fuji 3800 camera no longer powers up even with new batteries. It starts up but then shuts off. Any ideas? Can old digital cameras be fixed or is it more cost effective to throw them away and buy new?

I think you should say goodbye and buy a new one, or try to sell it on ebay or some site saying it won't power up but probably could be fixed, you might get 30 dollars for it.
