Trips-
Beach, alot
Orlando/Disney

camera: FinePix Z10fd

thanks

Yes. I think Fujifilm cameras in general are a great value.

However, if you're outside on a very sunny day (which Florida has a lot of), the Canon A560 will give you better color!

I own a Fujifilm F20 and I love what it can do at night (that ISO 2000, oh yeah!), but it's just not at its best on sunny days. Not "OMG that's awful!" bad, but there is a slight tendency toward paleness in very bright situations. Canon's colors, on the other hand, will stay deep and rich.

The Canon A560 isn't as cute-looking as the Fujifilm Z10fd, but at the same price, you're trading cuteness for picture quality.

By the way, Amazon sells 2GB Sandisk SD cards for $17: http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Memory-SDS...

Memory is so cheap these days, it really shouldn't influence your decision.

And whatever you buy, be sure to attach the wrist-strap that comes with the camera and wear it whenever you're holding the thing. And when you're not holding the camera, please store it in a proper camera case. This is so you don't drop the camera or let dirt (like the beach's notorious sand!) get into it -- both common situations could put the rest of your vacation shots on a disposible camera.

FinePix Z10fd is Good camera, Good price

I also want to recommend
Canon PowerShot SD1000 7.1MP Digital Elph Camera with 3x Optical Zoom (Silver)
http://shopping.edailyshop.com/Electroni...
It's also cheap and good camera

i'd suggest the olympus 770 or 790

its dustproof, sandproof, water proof and shock proof. i have seen a lot of people come on here saying they get sand in their camera lens and it doesnt work anymore.

it just takes ONE grain of sand to mess up any other camera that isnt dust proof. and you will have to get the whole camera repaired or replaced

thats why i suggest the olympus 770 or 790. it may be more expensive than the finepix. but you wont have to worry about damaging it while going to the beach.

good luck if you do decide on the fuji be very careful
