Digital Camera memory card help!? |
My old camera one broke and it was a Fuji Finepix. I have a 550 XD picture Fuji memory card. I was to get a new camera (XD) that was a different brand would the memory card still work? If it's either Olympus or Fujifilm, yes. Otherwise, no. As long as the new camera takes the same kind of card.Yes. as long as it takes the same size. There are new ones out that take Mini SD's. You'll have to look at the specs if you're just wanting to read the files in your memory card u can simply purchase a card reader for that. But then if you want a new camera that takes the same XD memory card and the answer is YES, it should be able to read the card. Wouldn't ecommend using this as a criteria for purchasing a new camera. Memory cards are relatively inexpensive these days, especially SD cards. |

... Yes, as you say you have some spreading white point areas - but it's a difficult / high contrast shot and you were only 1/2 a stop out! One way to overcome this would to meter the highlight... Normally, digital cameras would shoot stills much better than vcam as these are really designed for pictures. In like manner, a camcorder would definitely record much better videos than a digica... Have you tried with a different cable as that one may be faulty? Could you take the memory card out and put it straight into the computer (if it has the relevant port)? I'm not sure but ... The Fujifilm model stands out as the worse by having a slower lens and a smaller sensor (probably because of its longer optical zoom), so, unless you need that much zoom, I'd definitely choose... If your camera is under a year old, Fujifilm will replace the sensor for you. Call their help line and get further instructions. ...Not that great according to cnet ... I don't own this camera - but here are links to some owner reviews/comments: ... |
