What are your comments to this camera:Fujifilm FinePix S700 7.0MP?

I been wanting this camera for some time,Fujifilm FinePix S700 7.0MP,for those who know anything about Fuji or the camera itself,can you please tell me the pros,cons,or any other information you know about? Also, is the battery life good? Also,is it good quality-as far as its will last me a few years of picture taking?

It is a fine camera that will serve you well .. the best part is you can buy and use SD memory cards so if in four or five years you want to buy a camera that uses SD cards, you will not have to replace them.

FYI: The only other cameras that use xD cards are the Olympus and Fujifilm and Sony uses their proprietary Memory Sticks.

the battery life is great and it takes great pictures.

I have the S602 which is a 3MP older cousin. I've had it for several years and it takes excellent photos. The macro plus feature lets you get unbelievably close shots and the optical zoom is also a big plus. The build quality is excellent. I don't abuse mine but I don't take great care of it either and I've never had a problem.

On the con side, it's big (a little bigger than the s700 but similar) so taking it with you can be a pain. All cameras seem to go through batteries fast. I use rechargeable 2600mah batteries and they do a good job (one set can get me through a wedding night for example .... I always have a second set ready anyway).

If the size doesn't bother you, I'd definitely recommend it.

Just thought of another con, the flash is weak on mine so I ended up getting an add-on flash.
