What can I make for my new baby boy? |
He'll be here anyday and I'm bored out of my mind being stuck in the house and not being able to move around much. I love all types of art and crafts. I don't have a sewing machine but I can hand stitch something. I enjoy cross-stitch, plastic canvas, painting, drawing, candle and soap making, jewelry making, rug making, photography, scrapbooking/collages, etc. I also have a bedazzler which I haven't used yet (not sure what I could make with that for a boy). I have a lot of baby clothes I could alter. Any ideas? :-) start making a scrapbook. they are very good for storing memories. Start decorating it and then add pictures. Grab some plain bibs and cross stitch his full name on them. start a scrapbook, and save a spot for his foot and hand prints, take it to the hospital with you, they can put prints in when they do the hospital ones My aunt made my daughter a piggy bank when I was pregnant. It was adorable. She used a glass jar and then painted on this thick fabric. Then she glued the fabric around the jar and put ribbons and bows on it. It was adorable. It had a small slit in the top for the money to go through and the fabric covering the lid wasn't attached to the rest of the fabric so you could take it off when you want to take your money out. I made my son a nice size blanket that had "Bad to the Bone" on it. It was sort of a joke, but it turns out it is his favorite. It is the only blanket in our arsenal that would actually fit over the carrier so that we could tote him around in the winter. Go figure??? I think he really digs the bright colors. Good luck! start preparing some scrap books or even photo albums.. i wish i would have done this it takes so much time..and i take so many pictures..lol..good luck and congrats.. mommy of an 11 week old.. |
