How do I get the video from my camera onto my computer? (Details inside)?

I have a JVC MiniDV "Digital Video Camera" yet for some reason I cannot get the video onto my PC? The manual tells me nothing, all I can get off are the snapshots, not the regular video recordings. If I just spent 600+ dollars and I can't even get the videos on anything but a VHS cassette, I am going to ******* lose my mind.

Firewire.

You need a Firewire 4pin to 6pin cable, and either a PCI Firewire card for your Desktop PC or a PCMIA Firwire card for your laptop's PCMIA cardslot.

If you have a Mac, chances are you already have a 6pin Firewire port.

With the camera and computer hooked up and powered on, put the camera into VCR/Play mode.

Import/Capture your video, edit and export into any format you wish.

if both your cam and pc hs bluetooth transfer using bluetooth.....else go to an electronics store or shop and but a compatible chord to transfer data......best thing is ask for help in such a shop
