Installing software for a camera?

Im trying to install the software for my JVC camera on Windows XP. I connected it up to the computer and turned it on then the wizard came up and I put in the disc etc etc. In the middle of istallation, it comes up with a message saying that the software hasnt been tested for Windows XP and could damage my system. So I quit it but if you do it manually (from my computer/d drive) and click on it a 'Important Message' comes up saying the message might come up with Windows 2000 or XP users about it not being tested, but it says continue the installation anyway.

Should I continue? I'm just confused why it hasnt been tested for Windows XP

Can't I like sue(sp?) them if anything happens to my computer anyway because it tells me to carry on with installation if the message comes up.

yea just click continue...the error message is simply a warning that Micorosoft have not had copies of the driver to ensure they are fully compatible with XP..
nothing to worry about at all
and no you cant sue them or anything...software installed on your pc is never guaranteed to work or not corrupt your system its part of the EULA agreement you shoudl read whilst your clicking NEXT NEXT NEXT! LOL

Yes just continue, it's actually quite common with a lot of peripherals. It just means that the drivers supplied for the camera on the CD are not officially authorised by Microsoft, it will definitely work fine.

It is probably a warning built into Microsoft telling you that the software hasn't got a digital signature that is on the MS list.

I get this all the time and ignore it and have never had a problem

just re do and ignore that section

Have you tried using your camera without installing the JVC software? When you plug in your camera Windows XP will detect it and then diplay a list of options. I save to my pc then use other software that I prefer to edit them with.

Irfanview is good freeware photo editor.

Otherwise just ignore the WHQL not tested message and finish the installation of the JVC software.
