Yes... there is... The JVC GR-AX900 is a Compact VHS (VHS-C) tape based analog camcorder. I can't get to a manual - so I can't tell if you need the AV cable that cam with the camcorder... a miniDV vcam must be FIREWIRE400**-connected to pc to upload video thru video capture or video editing* software while vcam is ON PLAYBACK. Note: DV or Firewire port of vcam is 4pin. Before cable... If you go the route of AV adaptor, the ones made by Adaptec are the best. Adaptec videoh, gamebridge ect.......... Many of the other brands are crap! your pic is of the s-video port ...The error message seems like you are trying to use USB - not firewire. Or... you are using Vista Home Edition and the Firewire drivers for the firewire port in your computer were not loaded - or... I have a good tripod possibly a cable if i can find it the cable you can have it where do you live? I'm on one or twice a week. ...The JVC GR-DX307 is a miniDV tape based camcorder. ALL miniDV tape based camcorders transfer video from the tape to the computer using the camcorder's DV port (not USB) to the computer'... Are you sure about that model number?
