and i'd like to know which model is the best
i'm pretty sure they all aree
but which one in your own experience has been the best
and which one is the most recent one that came out
i heard the Nikon D40X is goood
but i'd like to hear your oppinionss

i want a camera that takes pictures with EXTREMELY good quality and detail
one thats good for landscaping and macro?

THANKS

If you like Nikon, the D40 (8MP) or D40x (10MP) DSLRs are both great.

Any of the Nikon DSLR's will shoot landscapes and macro. It is the lens that give the photographer the angle of view, not the camera. The D40x is a good one.

I recommend a Sony Cyber-Shot, I've had my for three years and it still take perfect pictures. There are various models but I can tell you from experience these are dependable cameras.

Get the d40. The only major things you will be paying for in the d40x is the meapixels which only make images more sharp, it DOES NOT change the quality of he pictures. And it gives you ISO 100, which is not much of a deal.
so i say if you would go for a d40x get the d40 instead.
and always remeber, you make the image what you see, not the camera. The camera is just a piece of equipment that helps you and make it easier for you to frame what you see.
So dont worry to much about equipment, just get a camera and get out there and start shooting.
Hope This Helped.

i love this website you should check it out.

What is your budget? I agree with the post that you should get a D40 instead of a D40X. However, the D40X has been discontinued, and there are rumors of a new Nikon model coming out.

In any case, the quality of the lenses you buy for a dSLR is more important than the camera itself. A sample macro lens for the D40 would be the AF-S 105mm f/2.8 lens, while any Nikon kit lens will be initially good for outdoor landscapes.

If you get the D40, and you want the lens to autofocus, you need to get lenses with the AF-S designation.

Now, if you want to see some tremendous pictures of Florence with a Nikon dSLR, click the letsgodigital link below. You can also navigate the other Nikon site to see some other sample photos.

Go for Nikon D40X..It is a good camera...And I find that it is on sale now. A decent deal for it is only $630 instead of $700.

You may also want to look into a cannon. MY dad has a D30 and I have a Rebel XTi. I prefer them to the Nikons i've seen. The D30 is especially nice.

Have a look at Canons also. My opinion is the Canons are better.

Canon Rebel XTi.

i'd recommend CANON A650 to you
