Whats the best way to sell your photography? |
I don't mean stock photos like istock, I have a collection of quality landscapes and would soon like to sell prints, online or through a shop. How do you go about this and what about pricing etc? What sort of money can be made from doing this? How does it work? Check out http://smugmug.com they host your site, and handle selling and printing for you. It's $150 a year, you set your own prices, you keep 85% of the profit, over the cost of the items. You, have to do your own marketing. This is a post from one of my favorite photographers from Flickr. She apparently managed to open a "tiny store" for herself. Take a look, I hope this helps: You could print them and try galleries and cafes et cetera. If your brilliant you will make lots if your not you won't. My friend sells through his own site tiborvari.com |
