Ok: don't care what you made to be an atheist.... (prolly fundies imho but) pls. check http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... let me know HOW you define conscious energy? what did/ do you think energy is? what is a soul? how do you explain Kirilian photography (check the links) If there is no soul/ conscious energy why are you born as a human and why didn't you simply manifest as a rock or a part of a landscape? Then again, respecting certain beliefs, if there is energy everyehere, hey, why weren't you born as a part of molecular structure, of say, sugar, or whatever? Ideas needed. We're born human because our DNA states that's what we are, as opposed to, say, a dolphin (interesting fact - if our DNA was .2% out, we *would* be dolphins). A soul isn't physical, I think its just an easy way to represent what's good inside of us. what, just ask a question I don't believe in a soul, and I don't have an explanation for Kirilian photography since I haven't done any research. And even if there isn't an answer yet, that doesn't mean there won't ever be one. You can't exactly ask the question, "Why were you born as this instead of that?" I just... was. Materials got together and formed me. That same material was probably once part of a landscape and probably will be again at some point. Of course, that material is also changing all the time, in that it is always moving about. Agnostic Ex-Christian I don't really believe in the concept of a soul. I'd like to, but ultimately, humans are just animals with more intelligence (and, concurrently, morals). I didn't manifest as a rock because I was created by my parents--and therefore, I manifested as a human being. This "conscious energy", or whatever, only exists because people often feel a need to be separated from the other purely instinctive animals on this planet; they feel the need to be *special*. This atheist doesn't believe in a soul. I was born as a human because my parents (both human) didn't use effective birth control. As far a Kirilian photography goes, I have no idea. I don't fully understand how sheet lightning happens, either, but that doesn't mean I believe Thor is up there somewhere having a schit fit. You give the impression that your idea of what many of your important nouns actually are is rather confused. You shouldn't pay any attention to Kirlian photography, for example. The images always show a strong difference between living and dead things. There is a difference - it's water, exactly what's needed to create brush discharges in high voltage fields. As to 'conscious energy' - you seem to think there's something like Chi flowing around us. There isn't. Consciousness is the workings, marvellous but not magical, of a brain. The process is electrochemical, and is slowly being duplicated. I was born a human because my parents were of that species. Rocks don't reproduce, and neither does sugar. I'm afraid that the facts of all this are a lot more complicated and complex than you're allowing for. You should study these matters in scientific works rather than spiritual stuff, because you seem to have been led badly astray. CD |
