What to see on Agean coast of Turkey near Bodrum in 7 days?

I'll be travelling to Turkey. Other than Istanbul, I plan to go down to the coast of Turkey near Bodrum, Marmaris, Fethiye, maybe even
Antalya. Some Greek islands are also nearby, such as Kos, Rhodes.
I have been to Greek islands before but not to Kos or Rhodes.
Rhodes is a big island, my feeling is that I should not include it as this
7-day tour of the Turkish coast.

My question is: what's the highlight of this part of Turkey/Greece?
With emphasis on Turkey. I prefer scenic landscape, beautiful
coves for swimming, boating, photography. Not so much package
holiday sort of place. How can I plan my 7-day holiday?

Thanks

Oh - that麓s a question for me!! I have been to this part of Turkey about 15 times - and I will go there again this summer:

A must in Bodrum is the castle with the museum of Underwater Archeology.See: http://www.bodrum-museum.com
The most beautiful beach is the "Camel Beach" in Kargi - it麓s not overcrowded at all, the beach is really sandy, the water is clear, clear, clear,...
I would also recommend to see the Bazar in Ortakent (in the middle of the Peninsula) on Wednesday (it麓s less touristical than the Bazar in Bodrum) - you can see the local farmers selling and buying products (household stuff, fruits, vegetables, typical clothes). The market in Milas (about 1 hour by bus from Bodrum) on Tuesdays is larger but also typical. Tours to this market are offered at every travel agency.
Visit also the Zeus temple in Euromos (it麓s very picturesque) - in a small wood near the main road from Milas to Izmir.
One of the greatest places is the Bafa Lake with the ruins of the ancient town "Herakleia". It麓s also a bird reservation. See: http://www.bafalake.com
Of course, Ephesos is worth seeing; also Pamukkale (it麓s not directly at the coast - but go there)
Ferryboats go to Kos (Kos-Town is a very "green" town, there are excavations on every street corner - most of them can be visited for free!!)
And the Greek island of Kalymnos, which is famous for it麓s sponge fishers, is also worth visiting. It麓s not overcrowded and very nice ... (http://www.kalymnos-isl.gr)

or contact me - I know almost everything about this area.

BTW: If you need a nice, clean hotel with friendly owners, near the beach, and not expensive (most guests are Turkish):

(It麓s in Yahsi at the Bodrum peninsula)
It has been a few years! I was there, in Izmir, in the early '60s when my Dad was stationed there. There are some wonderful beaches just to the south, towards Ephesus. Also, Pamukalle, which was a Roman hot spa that Cleopatra used to go to.
Been there, done that!
