Dartmoor or Exmoor ? |
Which place would you suggest for landscape photography (considering inlands) - Dartmoor or Exmoor. I got two days to spend but cannot decide between Dartmoor or Exmoor. Please advice. Please also suggest some place names inside the national park. I personally would say Dartmoor, there is some fantastic scenery there and incredible views. On a clear day you can see for miles. There are also many streams with bridges over where the cattle, sheep and ponies gather to drink, fabulous. Around Widdecombe is very pretty as is Two Bridges. A place that is more like a ghost town nowadays is Princetown, home of Dartmoor Prison but I would say some good photography for you. Hope you get the photographs you are looking for and have fun! Thanks voters. dartmoor Do a TINY bit of research and find out which of the two you are more likely to see pony's enjoying freedom to roam and you have it cracked. One of the most inspiring things I have ever seen in 40 years has been a small herd of horses allowed to roam. The head stallion was in his element and the yougsters were being the handfull you would expect from youngsters. I enjoyed it in a similar way to the time I asked for my wife's hand in marriage and she gave it - it was a COMPLETE pleasure. To paint a scene like what I witnessed would be awesome! life experience. It's a matter of personal taste, so why not do a search for "exmoor landscape" and "dartmoor landscape" on the leading picture agencies such as http://www.alamy.com and http://www.gettyimages.com Not only will it give you an idea of which is more to your taste, but it will also give you inspiration for some places to shoot and photographers to emulate.
