Landscape photography? |
How does one get started doing this? What college classes should be taken? How much do you have to travel? What type of living can a person make doing this type of photography? Thanks all for your time and responses. Get a nice 18 or 20mm lens (12mm for dslr's), put it on your camera and start shooting landscapes. One or two basic photo classes at your local community college will get you started on composition, exposure and developing film and printing. You travel as much as you want. Your research on various locations will lead you in many different directions ... even worldwide. You cannot make a living at this pursuit. Most landscape photographers are on assignment shooting some other subject and then take some time to explore their new surroundings. George Lepp (has workshops from time to time) is one of the more successful ones as well as David Muench (Arizona Highways magazine) Source(s): Editorial, sports and glamour photographer. |
