Photography question: How to get a job contract with Gucci, Armani, Warner Bros, etc? |
read a lot of questions on here about how to get into photography for weddings, nature, etc.. but what about the big commercial gigs like shooting for Gucci, The CW, Warner Bros,.... basically working on sets of film movies, tv, high fashion clothing. To be like some successful photogs like Patrick Hoelck, Mark Mann to name a few. ... im not looking to open just a studio and take portraits or weddings or going out to take photos of nature... I know people say go to a photography school and having contacts....but is there anything else? Can you build a portfolio and go knock on Warner Bro's door and be like hey take a look at my work? how does this stuff work? example of what i want to do is on here www.patrickhoelck.com Pretty much the same answers. Just put in commercial and fashion, in place of weddings and nature. I just finished watching Martin Scorsese's documentary about Bob Dylan, called No Direction Home. The way you get ahead in this world is to knock on doors and ride up elevators. |
