To all those sending ignorant answers to my questions regarding the photography of Afrcan women? |
Thank you for the responses received thus far. I have to say however, that if you have nothing constructive to say, please keep your thoughts to yourself. The book/documentary is not pornographic in nature. It is art, and I am hoping somone out there with some positive feedback can get back to me. African woman are really angelic to compose in a shot. African women, and men for that fact, are very photogentic in any light. Any background with African men or women brings out the subtlety of any background. Most shots with African people in it are viewed with mourning but if their is light shined on their milky skin and big smile the picture lights up. You can't go wrong with photographing African Women. I think that its awsome that you have an open mind...Keep it up! Don't worry about all those idiots. You have to realize that they are ignorant and are only looking to poke fun at someone. Just stick to what you believe and if a person does not agree then just IGNORE them. I did not see your question so I cannot tell you what I feel but I'm sure it is not vulgar but tastefully done. peace* wht do u wan my dear, here the professionals r there, ask ur qustion properly,n get right answer.dont b confused n frustrated. I answered in your previous posted thread. See the reply. You're right about the idiots that replied. It seems that the fact that they can hide behind a monitor brings the worse in people who ordinarily aren't such idiots but a bit nicer in real person. Good luck and best wishes. Art is Art, the only garbage is in the brains of uneducated people and ignorants by fact. When I went to Africa, it seems that depending on which city you go to their are women that will make you pay to have their picture taken. In Arusha Tanzania they would not let me take their picture without giving them payment- they were all dressed up and absolutely beautiful! but I did not pay- I felt that it was wrong to pay them for a picture- because eveytime I would look at the picture I would know it was posed and that I paid for it. Later in the bush- our guide took us to different tribes- here is were there are truly natural settings with women who hug you and welcome you into their home and talk to you about their lives - through translation. These are the shots that are natural and real and when looking back it will always remind me of their world and not about money and being taken from the roadside. Hope this helps. |
