How do I get my pictures selected to the major Photo Mag.? Like American Photography, Nature photo, Or Popular

There are two strategies for this.
One is you can often submit more then one image. I entered a contest once and my first question was what is the maximum amount of entries I can submit? 8 was the answer, so I submitted 8 X more then most people (I didnt win tho).
Two is you can post pictures on all kinds of sites, fickr, myspace, just do a google search for photo critique, and get feedback on what images of yours work. The images you like might be completely different to what appeals to others, so be open minded.
