I just finished photography school and i am trying to sell nature photos. Does anyone know a good source? Galleries, craft/arts fairs and shows, county fairs. Contact local galleries and see if you can get them interested in displaying your photos. Most cities and towns have craft and arts shows that may allow you to set up a table to display your photos. You can sell matted prints or fully framed and signed copies. County fairs have competitions for photography and, if you place well, are a good way to build interest in your photos. There are stock photography companies out there that will attempt to sell your photographs on consignment. A couple of these will charge you a mininal fee but be careful of frauds. I had 100 photographs on file for a year with a company called Photostock and it cost me $25. I never made a sale and I cancelled the contract. I can't say that Photostock was a fraud -- just that it cost me $25 and I never heard anything back. Good luck! research galleries in your area that deal in those sort of photographs and bring in a portfolio to see if they will display them for you? Nature is UNSALEABLE! |
