Is Nikon D50 discontinued?

I picked up a Refurb'ed D50 today for $479. It works great! I asked the dealer and he doesn't think there is a plan to discontinue the model.

The Nikon D50 is still a current camera. When a camera is about to be dicontinued, look for the manufacturer to drop the price. Case in point- The Nikon D70s, it just went down from $1199 for the camera with the 18-70 lens to $999 for the same lens.

To the point of the other answerer, the price on the D50 IS dropping. I noticed it for as low as $520.
