I am looking for a ditial camera with a 1x flash & no red eye, what should I get?

I have a Nikon Coolpix 5600 now, and I'm sick of the 3x flash by then everyone blinks. I know I can disable it but then the red eye goes back on. I'm looking for a digital camera that only flashes once and it takes away the red eye....or either way

Thee only way not to get red eye is to not use your flash. But in alot of instances thats impracticle. The other way is to get your flash away from your lens (and impossibility on compact cameras). You may want to look into a DSLR There are several options under $700 (Pentax *ist DL/$500, Nikon D50 $700) and get an external flash. Redeye is 99% eliminated

The red eye is caused by the flash unit being so close to the lens. All compact cameras have this. There are 3 different ways to go here:
* Advance flashes (which you're fed up with) constrict the pupils and prevent red eye.
* Increasing the distance between the lens and flash (by using a seperate flash unit) avoids the problem... but the 5600 doesn't support this.
* Or finally, correcting the problem with software. A lot of image editors make this real easy. Or just open the picture in Nikon View and hit the red-eye button. 90% of the time that does the trick.

Im not for sure what my digital camera flash is but, it has a red eye remover on it. I have a HP its awesome! U should check them out.
