How can I view Mac based, Quicktime, *.MOV vedio clips in Windows Media Player?

When I take short vedio clips from my Nikon Digital camera, such clips are recorded in Quicktime clips with extension *.MOV. These clips cannot be viewed in Windows Media Player. Is there a way to convert these Quicktime clips to Windows Media based .WMV or .ASF or any other Windws based format.

There are a lot of conversion programs, don't know of any free ones though. Something like this..

Why not use Quicktime for windows. Alternatively you can use a quicktime alternative which is quite good. It is called Media Player classic, and it can play nearly any type of movie file that you want.

Quicktime Alternative: http://www.codecguide.com/download_qt.ht...

Also, if for any reason your movie file still won't play, you can download a codec from Codec central site which should allow it to play. Here is a link to the codec website: http://www.fourcc.org/fcccodec.htm

Hope those ideas will take care of your probelem, good luck.

you can find a free program, MMConvert here

remember to download the quicktime Codecs when you download the program
