Digital camera question? Do I really need a 5 pixel or will 4 pixel do? |
I won't print large pictures. mostly down load on computer and use if all you will be doing is loading for web pages and or flyers, then a decent 4 meg will be great. besides when you upload to web pages you will have to make image smaller. and if for a flyer, you will be doing smalll pics, 2X2 up to 4X6- then 4 megs is maybe even more than you need. but remember, the more megs the more detail information you will have to crop and edit etc. all brands are approx the same. some have different bells and whistles. i like cannons, and nikons. For what you want to do 4 pixel is good. I would also check out Cannon. I would say a god 4 megapixel is good enough. Unless you are blowing up the picture to a larger size that 8x11. Even a raw image from a 4 MPixel camera is too big for web pages, so, yup a 4MPixel will do. 4 pixels should be fine. I have a 2 pixel, I believe, and the quality is fine. Just a few years ago, photogs were pretty awed by cameras that could take 4 megapixel images. I'm much more into doing video, but my vidcam also takes still images up to 2 megs, and they're "pretty good". i have a 5 mpixel camera.. its a panasonic dmc-lz3... its a really good camera but a little expensive.. but all that u are gonna do.. i'd get the 4 mpixel. It depends on the size of the print you are going to be making mostly, If they are mostly 4x5s or 5x7s, the 4 mp will do just fine if they are larger the 5mp, would be recommended. Hi, I recommand you to try google picasa. The difference is very minor. If you are not planning to do any larger size prints, then 4 megapixel is fine for your website. Now flyers (I'm assuming you are talking about 8.5" x 11"), I will say go with the 5, because you'll never know on what kind of photos you will need to take to put in the flyer. |
