Is it possible to make perfect pictures with a digital camera?

If yes-can this be done with any digital camera or do you need a specific one? Also does it require any skills or you just purchase the Nikon D200 point and click?
P.S.By perfect pictures i mean absolutely the same as you see it in reality.

What about if you are the best photographer in the world with the best camera and equipment?

Current digital cameras are still far from being able to render a scene exactly as your eyes will see it.

As it was already pointed out, they produce 2D images

Digital cameras also have a fairly limited dynamic range, even compared to film. They are thus unable to capture all the details of a highly contrasted scene. You will either get completely blown out white areas, or lots of details lost in the shadows.
Only the Fuji S3 (and medium format digital backs) currently address this problem. The other solution is combining several images (underexposed or overexposed) into one.

Yes, and no it doesn't take any special camera although I love mine, but that's cuz I'm partial :). You can look at my digital pics here: aprilvirgo.deviantart.com

Most of them are exactly as I took them, just added borders or cropped them with PSP

Huh? Dude. You see in 3D. Pictures are 2D. So, no. You cannot get a perfect picture with any camera. Sounds like you have a bit too high a standard.

Digital cameras have pretty much caught up with film cameras in quality.

To find a good camera try www.dpreview.com. That site has the most detailed reviews I have seen. They will tell you things about the camera you would NEVER notice.

Now quit trying to find the perfect picture and just buy the d*** camera.

i have taken some AWESOME pictures with my hp photosmart R817! just experiment with optical and digital zoom. i have some pictures of my niece that are perfectly in focus and look as if she is right there in front of me.

If you want `perfect' pictures, then you'll have to buy a very, very expensive digital camera, one that uses interchangable lenses. However, you can get excellent results with soething like a 5 MP Fuju Finepics.
A lot of the skill in photography is in the composition of the picture; professional photographers usually shoot a lot to get a little.
Oh, I once toiled as a photo jopurnalist, using film cameras and usually settled for three or four good shots from a roll of film.

Yes but please use the new Leica digital camera with * mega pixel

No photograph is perfect. A photograph is a stationary two-dimensional representation of a moving three-dimensional world. Judgment of photographic quality is largely subjective because the artistic quality of a photograph is usually a much larger variable than the technical quality.

The Nikon D200 is a fine camera and may be used to capture professional quality images if you know how to use it properly.

Also, many manufacturers are now getting out of the film camera business. Just this year Nikon announced that it would be dropping seven of its nine models of film cameras and will be concentrating on digital models.
