I have pictures from my digital camera and i want to put them on my computer...? |
i plugged in the camera to the computer, but nothing happened camera might need to be in review mode if you're using a USB cable - right click on the start menu and choose "Explore." The different drives should come up, and there should be one leading to the USB cable that's plugged in and connected to your camera. Usually when you first connect the camera to the PC you have to install the new hardware first. The camera may have came with a hardware installation CD which you must install prior to connecting the camera. If there is no CD sometimes in the users manual there is a link to a website where you can download the software needed. It's different for the different camera brands and your best bet is to look at the PC connection chapter in the users manual. install an image transfer software before plugging your camera to the computer. once done your on your way :). If you are using windows Vista it has non compatibility with a lot of cameras. Try downloading new drivers from Nikon's website. Your best bet would be to get a card reader, they're less than $20 now and you can transfer much faster to the computer than from the camera. |
