What is the problem for my Nikon D70s? |
I bought a digital camera Nikon D70s. It is a kit with 18-70 Nikkor lens. I also bought a SB800. There are always dark places in the corners of pohotos when I use fill flash. The most likely cause is that you are not putting the wide-angle diffuser in place. The SB-800 coverage is supposed to be adequate for a 28 mm lens, but for a wider angle than that, you need to pull down the wide-angle diffuser from the top slot of the unit and flip it into place. This should carry you out to 14 mm. You can also attach the diffuser dome that came with the SB-800 for the same coverage and, perhaps, more even lighting. Enjoy. :-) The wide angle lens is so conveniently placed right in the head of the flash that I think many people don't even know they have one! Report It Nikon D70s has some vignetting (dark corners) at the wide end of the lens. I like the answers above, one other thing to add, if you have a filter on your lens, Take it off and see if that clears your darker corners (ie you may be seeing the edge of the filter). If it clears up the go find a Hoya Ultra-thin filter instead. |
