How do you take a frame of video taken from a digital camera and turn it into a picture? |
I was recently in Mexico and there was this amazing lightening storm going on over the ocean. I had my Nikon Coolpix camera with me and we took video of the storm. If I slowly forward thru the video frame by frame, I could get some really cool pics where the sky is lit up with lightening and the palm trees are backlit...it's pretty wild. I really want to take a freeze frame of the video and make some prints but I am at a loss as to how to do it. I went on Nikon's website and found nothing. Please help!! You need to import the video to your computer, then download some software that can do that. Which software you want will depend on whether it is a .mpg, .avi, or .mov. And Lord help you if your camera saves videos as .mov, because when I hear the words "proprietary format," Quicktime is one of the first things to come to mind. Don't forget that even if you manage to separate that one frame from your video...that video was probably taken at a top resolution of 640X480. There is no way that you could even print a decent sized photo that would look good, because the resolution is much too low. use "powerdvd" there's button there that when you press,it automatically saves the video on the screen as image. |
