How do you crop photos you have downloaded to your computer from a digital camera?

I can't figure out how to do this. I downloaded Picture Project, which came with my Nikon CoolPix camera and managed to download the photos, but they won't crop the way I want to crop them. I then downloaded "Picasa," but I still can't see to get the photos cut/cropped the way I want.

I'm new to on-line photo stuff, but are there any easy-to-use programs out there for cropping photos? Thanks, and Happy Holidays!

Go to P.C. World website or just do a web search using the terms "top photo editing programs" and look thru the results to determine the BEST program for you based on your planned/available investment. The program that came with your camera is sufficient for BASIC EDITTING, and definitely contains a "Cropping" program. However, you GET what you PAY FOR, so investing in a quality photo-editting program is well worth the cost!

HINT: like I said, even your basic, run-of-the-mill editting program that came with your camera should to the trick. Maybe you are not "SAVING" your results after you've finished your crop-job. If the program has a "show-me-how" video clip or a step-by-step "Help" guide, I strongly urge you to FOLLOW IT THROUGH and WATCH IT ALL to discern just WHERE you are going wrong here!

My aunt bought me a digital scanner for one Chanukkah and it came with this great software that I use for editting.
It's called PhotoStudio.

To me, personally, it's better than PhotoShop.

All of my photos are cropped... editted... and fixed up to look professional.
