Question? taking fast action pics!! Always coming out blurry? Digital camera!!?

I have this camera,Nikon Coolpix L1 6.2 mp, I am trying to take pictures at my husbands hockey game and they always come out blurry (bodies blurry)!! I have put it to the sports setting and nothing!! Any suggestions

For the indoor lighting of hockey, you'll need a fairly high ISO setting. I'd recommend at least 800 or more.

Unfortunately, I see that your L1's specs have a maximum ISO of 400, so it's not really the best for available light, indoor sports. Another factor that hurts is that the ISO is selected automatically by the camera, handicapping the photographer.

I'm sorry to say, that you'll need to borrow or use another camera for your husband's hockey shots.

I hope this is helpful.

My camera is the same. Nothing else you can do. The shutter speed can't be adjusted on these anymore. Its a pest.

That's about all you can do. (set it @ the sport setting) Unless you can find a ISO setting. If it does set it @ the highest setting. I hink it goes 100,200,400,600,800

my camera has a motion/action setting, but mine are Fuji's and Olympus. Not sure if the Nikon has it

If you can set the ISO setting, increas it to 400. Maybe that will work.
