Why to alot of people say that Cannon and Nikon make the best digital cameras? |
I hear alot of peolpe say that Cannon and Nikon make the best digital cameras, what so speacial about them. For professional gear, Canon is the market leader, Nikon is a distant second, and the other companies trail way in the distance. Canon and Nikon owe their leading position to three facts: i agree. maybe because theyre big name brands. i like hp. I have a Nikon and it's really good, easy to use, small, light, inexpensive and takes great pictures. I was going to buy a Kodak but you could only use Kodak brand stuff, etc and that didn't seem worth the money. because its true. but i go for the cheaper ones... a camera is a camera is a camera I have a Kodak 4.0 and the digital pictures are just fine. Because they are built better. I helped my brother shop for a digital camera last weekend and I was telling him how junky the Sonys are. To emphasize the point, they have an open box section where you can buy cameras that customers had purchased and returned for a discount of the regular price. There were about 7 or 8 different Sonys and a couple of HP cameras. Guess what no Canons and no Nikons. That's because people who buy them keep them. I purchased a Sony digital camera a couple of years ago. It used AA batteries. Well, the batteries would die in the camera before I could fill up the memory that was built into the camera. That's only like 15 pictures! When I called Sony they recommended that I try better batteries. So I purchased rechargable AA batteries, same problem. I purchased the Lithium batteries that had just come out at the time and were supposed to last like 4 times as long. Same thing! I called Sony back about it and they wouldn't do a warranty repair because they said nothing was wrong with the camera. Their suggestion was that I quit using the LCD display to save the battery. I returned the camera to the store where I purchased it and paid extra for a Canon. The Canon had a metal frame, a rechargable lithium ion battery, and I could take hundreds of pictures before having to recharge the battery that came with it. It was well worth the extra money and I learned two important lessons. Don't buy a digital camera that uses disposable batteries(the money you spend on batteries could have been spent to buy a better camera in the first place). And never under any circumstances buy a Sony digital camera. They were totally unhelpful with my problem and even if that was an isolated case I wouldn't want to have to deal with them for any other issues that might come up because I bought a camera that was cheap just to save $50 or so I could get it sooner. i never eally cared about a specific brand before on digital camera but when i got a cannon sd100 about 3yrs ago a friend of mine that is a die hard sony camera guy totally loved my camera when using it. i can tell from experience you dont need to be an expert to get good quality pictures from cannon cameras and the options are super simple to understand. to this day i still get great quality pictures and the battery has had no problems and its a 3.2MB camera. i think what most people talk about is from the experience they have had with their cameras. Testing Firstly...its spelt CANON Probably because of their long hisrory. |
