Is the Nikon Coolpix 8400 a worthwhile digital camera?

You might want to consider upgrading to the 8800 its a bit more but worth it actually my sister bought it and she is very fusy for more info try here.

I own the 8700 and the 8 megapixles are an increadible advance over my previous 2.2 Fuji (which I still love!).
All I can say about mine is that the photos turn out AMAZING if... IF you spend plenty of time going through the manual. If it's anything like mine, the poor reader is in for hours and days of reading and memorizing settings. It's only flaw... is it's light reading sensor is EXTREMELY sensitive. But this might be solely relavent to the 8700.
