Backup Camera Nikon D70 or D40x? |
I was given a brand new Nikon D300 (18-200mm) today in exchange for one of my old cameras. (I know ... crazy deal). Trying to decide which one I should get rid of and why ... Any one have any ideas? The D70 is a good camera, but it's also a noisy one. Compare you images between the D40x and the D70 and the D40x will not only be 10mp, but will have cleaner images. The D70 will autofocus with the widest range of Nikon mount lenses and gives you more control. As nice as the higher resolution and more compact D40x is, I'd stick with the workhorse D70. keep the d70.it's auto-focus motor worth it.and remember that d70 is one step higher than d40,d40x and d60.it's a semi pro camera but d40x is a beginner one. |
