Nikon L2 digital camera sticky lens doors/shutters? |
I have a Nikon L2 digital camera. I was recently on a roadtrip and a buddy of mine had a can of coke in his backpack. The soda punctured. My camera was in his backpack also, in a case, and the coke got the lens of my camera wet, as well as the little lens doors/shutters/whatever you call them. Now when I turn the camera on, the telescopic zoom barrel still works, but the little shutters don't open. I researched this and talked to a guy at the local electronics store who suggested rubbing alcohol on a cuetip. I tried this, but it doesn't clean the back of the little doors. Is there any way to solve this problem withOUT taking the camera to a repairman? The cost would be more than the camera is worth at the moment, but I'm not ready to buy a new camera just because the lens doors aren't working properly. Any suggestions?
