Camera question!!?

I need help, quick! Ok. I accidentally dropped my camera a few minutes ago, and since, it hasn't been letting in any light. I know nothing about camera's so I feel like a complete idiot. It's switching on fine and everything. It just isn't letting light in AT ALL. Is it done?

by the way its a Nikon S6

Ok. Yeah, I was just making sure there wasn't something I could do to remedy it. (I'm sure there isn't). What's sad is that I had it around my wrist but I FELL, thus it fell. =P

I'm fine. The camera's not. Hahaha

HI Kangeroo. Don't feel bad / you are no idiot!! IN fact, you are very much like the hundreds of people with the same bad luck asking the same question. "I dropped my camera.. what cam I do?" When your camera fell, unfortunately it suffered some kind of damage or else it would be working properly. There is nothing you can do, yourself. You have to get it looked at by someone who knows what they are doing. Dropping is not covered by warranty, so there will be a charge for the repairs. Take it into a camera repair shop and have them give you an evaluation of the damage and an estimation of what it will cost to fix it. If too much, you might just want to replace it. Just some advice:
Never use your camera without slipping the wrist strap around your wrist.
When not in use, always keep your camera in a padded case or pouch.
Try to get a camera not so small and easy to slip out of your hand.
And know.... if you drop the camera, it will never quite be the same.
I know you don't feel any better, but accidents happen to all of us... just learn what to do the next time. ; ))

Unfortunately is sounds like a trip to a repair center...
You're not stupid, people with the expensive DSLR also drop their cameras and damage them as well.
