Why does my Nikon D1x have an audible click noise as I turn to the ON position? |
When I activate the ON switch of my Nikon D1X I can hear a definate "click" sound. This only happens when the camera is being powered by the battery. When there is no battery, there is no clicking sound. Also, when I tried it using the AC adapter, there was no click sound - just silent. I purchased this camera "used" as a back-up to my other D1X. It seems to take the pictures without problems and none of the other operations are affected. Has anyone had experience with this problem and could it serious or become an expensive repair down the road? I doubt this is an issue with your camera. It might be an issue with your battery being old and not producing/holding enough voltage. |
