If you own/have accsess to both a Nikon D80 and D60 please read.........?

Hello, I am debating between getting these two cameras but I understand that the D80 has many more focusing points so I was hoping someone could take a few of the same images with both these cameras and upload them to a site like flickr...I'd reallt appricate this! If you can't...can you point me to a website that has comparison shots as i haven't been able to find one

Thanks!

The D80 has 11 focus points and the D60 has 3 鈥?arranged only along the horizontal. Obviously, the D80 is more versatile, but only 3 focus points will not ruin the D60. Just work with it.

If you want to see sample images, how about using Flickr? Go to http://www.flickr.com/cameras/ and then click on each camera. They have over 400,000 from the D60 already and they are closing in on 20,000,000 from the D80.

These review sites also have sample images:

Most of us are expecting Nikon to replace the D80 before too long. It's the only camera in their line that has not been updated with the new generation of features. The D90 - if that's what they will call it - may be worth the wait.

The number of focusing points really isn't an issue. You'll find that the center point is probably friendliest and therefore used the most. If you leave it on AUTO, the camera decides which point is on the subject of interest which may not always coincide with what the photographer has in mind. With the camera set to center, you can always focus and recompose. The only advantage I see of multiple points is what it offers for panning and action shots using continuous focus.

Though a bit older the semi-professional D80 still holds its own and I'd recommend it over the newer entry-level D60 if you're seriously interested in photography. Along with a higher level of flexibility, the D80 has the backing of a larger selection of Nikon lenses.

If you're interested in a less costly compact DSLR with a lower learning curve the D60 may be a better choice.

I have found this site to have good reviews with photos taken the same for every camera reviewed.

You might check it also for the cameras you wish to compare.
