SuperZoom Cameras - Kodak Z1012IS vs. Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18 vs. Nikon Coolpix P80?

Which of these is the best overall? I will be working with pictures of Equines, so obviously I need something that will not have problems with noise or anything. Most of the pictures will be outdoors, however, some will be indoors. I am leaning towards the Kodak Z1012IS, however I am not sure and want the opinions of others. Thanks!

Kodak seems to be the most under rated digital camera of them all. They are pretty good camera, and it's the most user friendly of them all. So far, the Kodak Z1012 IS have been getting good reviews. My Kodak cameras have not disappointed me yet. I'm more a Panasonic fan, but for the resolution comparison you are better off with Kodak. Panasonic has a great lens Leica... if you can get the FZ50, which is about $200 more, you might be better off with that. Plus, Panasonic is more durable than Nikon or Kodak. Nikons, in my opinion are a bit over rated, although, they do have good lens.

The Kodak Z1012IS has the fastest click to capture time on the consumer market of .02 seconds. More important the new Kodak records in HD 720 Progressive HD Video mode, which can be played back on a HDTV. (buy a large size SD Card)
The two Panny & Nikon models do not offer this essential feature. Report Abuse
