Does this look like a good camera?

Hey there,
Do you think that this would be a good camera:

Also, how would I find out the optical zoom/ what kind of memory card it takes, and how much the memory card would be.

Thanks,
Phoenix

Yes, this is a VERY GOOD camera! I was going to buy this one, but I opted for a Fuji Fine Pix instead. The Finepix was $50 cheaper for the same exact thing, and I have owned a Fuji digital before and loved it.

This camera should take the standard SD memory card. The website (on the tabs below the camera) says it has a 3X zoom. You should be able to get a 2G SD card for about $15.

Here is the camera I bought at Best Buy. I got the camera, a case and the memory card for $165. And like I said, all features are exactly the same.

I researched alot of cameras before I bought mine. I spent a whole day at work comparing features and what you get for the price. Nikon is a top line name brand, so I think you are paying that extra $50 for the name alone.

The Nikon S210 is not a bad camera at all, to be honest. As far as the optical zoom, I can tell you it is 3x zoom (appearing to be approximately 36mm - 108 mm). All Nikon's point & shoot digital cameras use the SD memory cards. Prices of those vary depending on the size of memory (1 GB is obviously less expensive than 2 GB, 2 GB is... normally less expensive than 4 GB), brand, and where you buy from.

Your camera is compatible up to 16GB to the best of what I have seen so far.

For the price, Nikon's S210 is a relatively tough camera to beat. It's been quite popular where I work here in Canada.
