Nikon Coolpix S9- I have to reset the date every time i charge the battery?

Every time after i charge the battery, when i put it back inside the camera and turn it on, i have to reset the time and date and timezone, and its really annoying.
How do i make it so that i dont have to reset it every time?

There is a small independent battery or capacitor that is supposed to hold that information in the camera while you charge the battery. It should last for at least 24 hours, more than enough time to charge any battery, NiMH or Li-ion.

Call Nikon USA's free live tech help line, (800) NIKON-UX, is open all the time, 24/7/365. They will help you.

get an adapter so it will have power after you take the battery out.

if you're that lazy then throw the camera away. then you won't have to reset it.
