Images are stretched from my camera?

When I add photos from my digital Nikon camera to the computer, they are stretched . From this my photos either appears more wide, or more tall, because its stretching it when I put my digital photos on the computer. What can I do to have it not stretch them when I add it on? I lost the software for this camera it was PictureProject. So far when I just add the files to a folder, theyre stretched...

Check the display settings on your computer ... there are some settings that will stretch images to fit left to right.

There is nothing wrong with your camera ... Unless you have your cameras image ratio set to 16:9, then of course they will look like panoramas .. is it is designed to do, the images should fit, unchanged from their original ratio

Hunt on the net to see if you can download a replacement camera driver. Many downloads are free and readily obtainable.

go the the web site for the camera maker and you should be able to download the software you need
