My Nikon D70 isn't reading memory cards anymore

I recently bought a second hand Nikon D70 and i used up one memory card and all was well and good but now when i tried to put the other one in its not reading any memory card. The camera knows the card is in there (because i can format the card and things like that) but when it comes to actually taking photos, it says it cant read the card - even the card with all the images on them.
Does anyone know how to fix that? Or will i have to take it to a professional and get it repaired?

First call the Nikon help line (800) NIKON-UX. They are open 24/7/365.

They can help you determine the actual problem with your camera ... you might want to use a flashlight to look into the card slot and see if any of the pins are bent or broken.

Buy a new memory card and remember to format it after you install it. When you insert a memory card the camera searches for a file it placed when the card was first formatted. If the file was erased or another file from a different was installed, your camera can not read the card anymore.
