Who can tell me where I can find the legalities of nude photography in the state of Kentucky?

The legalities of nude photography are not usually specifically governed by the state. The national laws are known by the media.

You can take nudes of yourself, or others with signed permission. You cannot sell them without signed legal permission either. Should the photos be considered for any reason offensive in public, there are legal protections you must have in place. Even the studio has to be away from the public eye.

I would meet with someone who has done this and can show you the way it works.

Unless your image or the image of the person who is nude is copy-righted, you have the right to post or display said pictures in a manner that would not be considered pornographic in nature.

Posting them on your personal website is one thing with a disclaimer.

-nude photography at family reunions is not only accepted, but embraced
-avoid cluttered background in your pictures (hound dogs, old refrigerators, or any contraption for making hooch
-make sure her socks are the same
-make sure your "model" reads any contract and makes her mark


these are a few "guidelines"

Be 100% certain your model is at least 18 yrs. old. Ask to see a birth certificate and driver's license if there is any doubt. You should have a Model Release signed by your model and you both should have a copy of it.

Anyone in the photograph must be at least 18 years old. If you are paying a model, you need a model release. If you are not paying the model, you need a model release if the photos will be published anywhere anytime. Always have a third person of the same sex as the model with you. Invite model to bring friends and relatives.
