Is it a bad idea to put lotion 'down there'? |
Okay, so, I shave my vag and I have for awhile. Razor burn is generally unavoidable, what with the horror that are college showers. This wouldn't be a problem, but I just shaved and it looks kind of ugly...and I'm going to be posing nude soon for a friend's photography project, and I'd rather not the red bumpiness be preserved on film. Hopefully it'll fade by then, but if it doesn't, would lotion help? And is it just a bad idea in general to put lotion in that general area? Thanks! I put baby lotion or aveno on it all the time after I shave and I have never had any problems. just as long as you dont go inside with the lotion then you will be fine I'm wondering why you don't wax?? Maybe some baby powder? I don't think lotion will help, but in general I don't see why it's a bad idea as long as it's keep external. Lotions will not hurt unless you put them in the vagina. Even then most won't harm you. Powder would be a better idea. buy BikiniZone. i use it on my face actually and it works for me.. if you have razor burn then make sure the lotion has no perfumes or dyes because it might irritate the area more, and make it more red and swollen. i always put lotion after i shave. It does soften your skin to avoid the redness and those ugly bumps BUT you are only meant to put it, lets say, around the vaginal area of course...... do you shave completely? i only do a bit to avoid havin to wear a bikini with the bush coming out.... |
