Any advice on how to get into photography?

i would love to do black and white nude photography. but i dont know how to get started in it. not a profession just a hobby. any ideas?

I shoot a lot of nudes.

That said, I can tell you my success shooting nudes started with learning all about light and how it shapes subjects.

Take a couple of classes at your community college in photo-art and learn how to compose, expose, develop and print your images. You may find that some of your fellow students with pose nude for you in trade for you posing for them. I have done that too.

You can do a google search for High-Key photography and Low-Key photography and you will get some outstanding ideas for black and white nude posing. Also go to One Model Place on the web and look at what photographers are doing with the nude in color and black and white.

I save the ones that inspire me and from time to time I sit down with a new model and we look at those images and from them plan a shoot.

If you have any more specific questions, feel free to email me. Source(s): Editorial, sports and glamour photographer
buy a camera
take a photography class and u will love it. i took it two times and u can do dude pics also. well good luck.
Digital SLR camera is good starter. Because it allow you to play around and learning new things instantly. Use internet to search for information on how to choose a nice, decent DSLR.

Remember, you do not need a professional camera or lens to get started. Usually newbies try to buy expensive lens hoping can get better results from the more expensive lens. In reality, it is not true. Usually it is the photographer that can make a good photograph, not the camera or lens.

Hmmm, Nude photography, I think getting modal may be a bit of the problem.
First, take lots of pictures and put together a portfolio. Then go to the library. Look for the Writer's Guide for the currant year. In it you will find listings for magazines and other publishers who buy photos. Also in this book you will find listings for other books which might be even more helpful and more specific to your needs. Don't quit your day job yet. Beginning photographers don't get much in the way of compensation. You may even find some magazines which won't pay you at all. Don't be afraid to send them your photos. At least you'll be published and you'll have something to add to your portfolio.
OK this sound crazy but if you want to get serious about photography... forget about the camera. They are all about the same. Concentrait on (a) lens (b) lighting

Different lens gives you different perspective (even of the same subject). And real photography is all about learning and using lighting. Get some book on classic photography. And study them. Try to figure out how they were done. In the beginning just try to recreate them. Just by recreating them you will get ideas of your own creation. Then when you have your own ideas, you know how to attack the lighting problems.

Learn all the rules. Then when you understand the rule, begin to break those rules purposefully.
